In the charming village of Orašac you can take part in the production of olive oil in the old fashioned way in a horse-driven mill. This tour is a delightful trip through time. You will also have the opportunity to taste some homemade cheese, smoked ham and wine. To add to the sense of history, all these activities take place in an old fashioned house that has remained more or less unchanged through the ages.
In the days of the Dubrovnik Republic, Ston was the second most important town of the Republic. Its wealth was derived from the salt works, which are still function to this day. Although predominantly known for the spectacular city walls, which are considered to be the second longest in the world, these days this region is also known as the oyster capital of Croatia. Find out if this title is justified by feasting on delicious sea food platter that consists of octopus, mussels, small fish and, of course, oysters.
Finally you will pay a visit to one of the best known wine producers of the region. The Pelješac peninsula has been renowned throughout the ages for its excellent wines. The Miloš family wine cellar is one of the foremost representatives of this tradition of excellence. During your visit to the cellar you can take part in wine tasting, and sample some of the best wines that this region has to offer.
